Meet a gem from Provence that combines freshness and complexity. The Whispering Angel is one of the most popular rosés internationally and, alongside the Garrus rosé wine, the wine with which Chateau d'Esclans has gained world fame. This Whispering Angel rosé owes its name to the chapel on the estate where 2 whispering angels are depicted on the wall. This image is also depicted on the label of the Whispering Angel rosé wine.
The Whispering Angel is made from grenache, cinsault and rolle (vermentino) grapes, with an attractive, typical light grey-pink colour that typifies a Provence rose wine. Château d'Esclans is located in the heart of Provence, northeast of Saint-Tropez, with the Mediterranean Sea in the background. The Château is known for its old Grenache vines, which produce a grape that is more concentrated in aroma than the young vines. Château d'Esclans is an impressively large (267 hectares) wine estate and has now become a world reference for Provence rosés with the Whispering Angel Cuvée.
